Why I will never part with this watch . . .
Rolf Schnyder was a dear friend of mine. I miss him. He used to call me the "Head Freak!" and then laugh loudly. I never knew when he'd call me from somewhere around the world. Ulysse Nardin has his stamp, his DNA, his imprint and it is now gone a long time. This is a treasure to me. He made Freak Number 001 for me. Enjoy your weekend I hope!🙏🏻

Hi Ed. While my relationship with Rolf was no where close to yours, I had the honor and pleasure of being with him on a number of occasions.
He was the heart and soul of the brand. He was the visionary that gave wings to the creations that to this day are unparalleled. He is still missed but yet celebrated every time we strap on one of the marvels he helped bring to the market.
He was a tour de force to be sure.
He had a vision for what could be but was always willing to the voice of the consumer

special and in reality, I believe "people buy people" meaning it's the relationships we form that make us want to do business with those friends.
I am blessed beyond what I

It was (is) a truly revolutionary movement, especially for back then. Something we'd NEVER seen before on TZ (or anywhere else really). The web was 'faster' info delivery....
Plus am a horology geek (and member of the AHCI, NAWCC...) so yes, the Freak still amazes me. Am good friends with the local AD. It's truly wonderful to see you posting it, wearing it, and enjoying your time with it
