Happy Birthday ! …

The Mustang was launched 60 years ago today !

The original car was $2368.00 and that came with a six-cylinder engine, bucket seats, full carpeting, padded instrument panel, all-vinyl upholstery, and full wheel covers. It had the look of luxury at a low base price. White sidewall tires were optional.

The racing versions became legendary !

I also love the early cars.

My most memorable ride in a Mustang

was 49 years ago I think it was a 1968 Mustang; it was a slow ride for a short distance, but memorable. Cazalea ...

You did well Mike …

The Shelby, any Shelby is the one to have …. Surely an instant classic. Second most ???

Do you know what happened to the car from your wedding day ?

It would be wonderful to know what happened to it.

Did you enjoy it ?

Yes, for a couple days touring the coast and wine country it was fun.

I wanted something with a "California" vibe and Hertz had some premium options, including 911's, but the Mustang GT just seemed right for the job. Not sure I'd want to live with a V8 2 door on a regular basis.

A great classic

Came close to buying one several times, boss302 and gt350 were the most tempting where I live. Sadly they've grown way too big for my taste, width and weight are a bit out of control which is a global disease sadly.

GT350 is a cool ride …

I have been veeeeery close to buy a red (black stripes) one some years ago. No regrets, again. But, still, I like those cars very much!

Sounds a good combo …

Definitely a classic… ...

Well, not really that one!

 By: Mary Anny : April 18th, 2024-09:13
It was a 2008 GT, a demo car from Ford Girona! It'was not expensive, though in the United States it would have cost like a Fiat Punto overhere!

Yes, I'm sure I would!
