Walking w/Smokey and the Bandit

I had to start today's walk with this car...

Firebird TransAm Screaming Chicken decal on the hood

and then there was the Bandit

Old saw blades on top a nice touch. I don't know this V8 but I'm thinking something like a Porsche 928 maybe? Obviously twin turbo homemade induction.

Green metalflake steering wheel to match the pinstripes. Screwdriver as lower door hinge pin (both sides)

My wife was tolerant as long as I didn't say the forbidden words (I want one).

Today we are walking in another old neighborhood. We found some streets and houses we didn't know and had a good time. Shall we get started?

This is a classy neighborhood and I am amazed at the size of the houses and the lot sizes.

House 1

Most of the houses and gardens are in great condition (but not all of them).

House 2

It was a beautiful morning to walk.

House 3

Warm enough but not too warm.

House 4

House 5

House 6

House 7

House 8

White lavender smelled great and my wife said she'd never seen or heard of such a thing.

Can't see anything of this house but the vertical stabilizers flanking the front door. I wonder if they like planes?

I hope they like planes, because this is their view!

House 9

House 10

The lonely but watchful dogs of #10.

I'll stop here for now and we will continue in Part 2.

As a child how those Trans Ams were among most popular cars on the road........ (80s)

My Dad’s friend had one in the late 70s

We now are now descending deep into a canyon with relatively new and modern homes. A hummingbird catches my eye and I catch him JUST TAKING OFF. He only flew a foot or so and landed, glaring at me. I took a few more pics and moved along ... My wife looked...

That rat pickup is impressive.

It takes a special mind to envision and create something like that. A single minded focus with nothing left to chance.
